I worked in the motor home industry for a short time, repairing and setting up. My parents have a Winebago. For my two cents, motor homes are money pits. They are built of the lightest materials (cheap)to save weight, the parts are even more outrageouse than bike and boat parts, (think $600 5 gal water heaters). While there are plenty of "deals" out there on used motor homes, be prepared to annually spend thousands of dollars on them to keep them nice and in running condition. If one has a huge money bucket, with reserves, ok. But if the plan is to sell all you got and live the rest of your life in it on the road, ya better have a short plan.
