Yep, I went one tooth up on the countershaft sprocket on my BA years ago now. It is great for lowing the revs about 500-700RPMs out on a flat level open stretch of highway, but yeah, you'll find once ya hit a grade, you'll be downshifting to 4th in order to keep the revs up to where our bikes like to be to start hitting the plateau of their torque curve, at about 4000-4500RPMs.
