Ive only been able to put on about 10,000 miles since the mod. FANTASTIC! I would not change this mod for anything and don't regret a single penny spent.
We all talk about two finger braking and I can bring my hulking fat arse to a stop with one finger all day long. Ive had to grab a handful on at least one occasion and it did not lock up at all BUT it stopped me in short order. I almost never use the rear brake anymore. I have so much more confidence in the front being capable of stopping me.
Issues have been none existent and brake wear is negligible.

Sorry, I thought you were asking about the brakes.
The bike as a whole is fantastic. Strong, reliable as OEM, runs like a beast. Any issues I have are my fault and due to my laziness. Surprisingly fuel mileage can be better than OEM (up to 50mpg was my best ever) or really bad (in the high 20s). It all depends on how I ride it. More spirited, less mileage, mellow, higher milage. Fuel grade has not been an issue. It runs on low octane (87) but I usually run mid range (89). Never had an issue with pinging.
Riding it is easier now than when it was OEM. The additional torque and the fact that it comes in at lower RPM (it hits 50ft lb @ 3k RPM and stays above 50ft lb to redline) means that the power is always on tap easily. The HP behind the torque climbs steadily to red line as well so it really all translates into smooth throttle response. The carbs don't like to be slammed open but if I roll on (even rolling on quickly) the bike takes off like a rocket.
My issues: - I need to adjust the carbs for easier starting. This is not new and has been like this since I got it back from the dealer after they adjusted my carbs. I simply need to communicate to Carlos what its doing and he will tell me what to do. I just never seem to have time. - I have some oil weeping from the valve cover gasket. I have the new gasket in the garage, just haven't had time to install it. It started doing this last year some time.
Same as the brakes... I would do it all over again without hesitation.
