I would say its becoming real clear that the old guys that remember the old bikes buy the Speedy and TBA because they remember how cool they were and are. What a testament to the under 30s who know cool when they see it.

Looks like now those really experienced riders are 1 in 5 of us.

I'll be 55 in April.
Going on 18.
You're as old as you feel.
Some mornings, I feel 80.

No wonder you have so much energy for all the projects you have going. Btw... in recent times we heard about the Dodge, but hows the Dream coming along, or the Travelall?

Both Dreams got sold to Flying Tiger motorcycle shop as basket cases, shop owners wife will make it her bike eventually... when I bought a new house this past summer I just didn't know what I was going to do with the whole mess of parts and boxes and everything so they came and rescued it... I had them since 2007 and never really did much more than some paint stripping and engine work.

The Travelall runs, replaced the motor, rebuilt the carb, replaced some bearings, fuel lines, did some small things... I drive it a couple times a week, it has for sale signs in the windows though... I figure I can make 4 times what I have in it by selling it, so that's what I'm going for. It's a cool truck but I really wanted a Travelall that was about 12 years older.

Now that I have a garage, the '49 is making good progress, in fact I'm about to change into work clothes and spend the rest of this Friday night doing more prep work for my paint shop appointment on Sunday. The plan is to have the front clip done body work and paint and all the engine work tightened up by spring, put it together and keep on driving it.

There's a reason so many of us call our bikes "Geezer Magnets." I guess that's why WE are attracted to them.

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Yep, I just added to that 45-60 category. No overlap issues here though.

What with coming up on 64 soon, my only ovrelap issues have to do with my belt buckle.

None of that anymore either

Over 80% now are over 45 and it is pretty consistent that 1 in 4 of us is over 60. Wow! I actually think that is pretty cool that so many ummm mature folks can ride these bikes and have so much respect for the bikes and the fun and friends they meet.

So does this explain why I'm 35 but dress like I'm 70, point to things I want instead of speaking, and get really pissed when I see ppl doing all the stupid things in their cars except focusing on the road and driving.

My age when I have to get out of bed in the morning: 100
My age walking around, doing the normal things: 49
My age as soon as I bang 2nd gear: 19!

That's why it's SO GREAT to ride a motorcycle!

80% are old and 20% are ancient. Some of you guys have actually opened a garage door without pushing a button and have used a rotary dial phone!

Well over 100 folks have polled. Great traffic through this site in a few days. We should be proud of our little place on the web.

Rode bikes and skate boards with no protection, had clay wheels on the skate board and metal wheels on the skates that attached to my shoes that took a key. I remember black and white TVs and black and white TV shows even after color TVs. I remember no cable TV, no such thing as unleaded gas.I remember dial phones and even had one with a metal dial on it. What I miss most are points, carburators, and kick starters along with the respect people used to have for each other and their property.
