I need some help. I got a set of ISO grips for Christmas and need some help getting them on. I got the ones that fit our bikes and Hondas. Took off my old grips with no problems. Slid on the throttle no problem. Them when I went to hook up the cables no matter what I did I could not make the top cable reach, it is just way to tight. And in the process of trying to make it reach the tab that holds it in broke. I have a call in to Küryakyn about that. The only thing I have not tried is to reroute the cables down the right side of the bike.

Well, all I can say is that you're lucky the tab broke off now and not while you are riding through the middle of America with no replacement for 100 miles.
Those ISO grips are known to fail at that spot, rendering the throttle useless.

had no issues with mine, are you running longer bars or riser or something?

I wonder if it's just a matter of cable adjustment, either up by the bar or down by the carbs. You can effectively make more cable available by means of adjustment.

Tried that. I have sent the grips back to get replacement ones. I think I will re-rout them down the right side before the new ones get here.

I have a similar issue. I bought the kuryakin iso grips and while the throttle side is installed without damage, the throttle is sticking when I turn the handlebars to the right.

The upper adjusters are turned all the way in, so there is no extra slack there. It seems impossible to adjust the lower end without removing the carbs. I hope I'm missing something here. Cause removing and replacing the carbs just to make a couple of wrench turns, and then having to do it again, because you haven't done it enough or too much is really annoying.

As for the left side, I am confused here. The directions call for measurement and cutting a supplied spacer. There wasn't a spacer in the package I got from new bonneville. I don't know why I would need one. I am worried about using the glue. The grip slid on to my handlebars very tightly. I don't know if I could get it on quickly enough to prevent the glue from setting early.

The last time I did this, I remember squirting lighter fluid down the grip and sliding it on. Does that still work?

I never had any of those problems installing my grips, but I used the generic set for 1" bars (6240). The left side went on snugly with no spacers or anything. The throttle side required a lot of sanding.

I think the combination of rivco risers and the new grips was just too much for my stock cables. I tried various handlebar positions along with adjusting the cables at the lower end, and couldn't get the problem to go away. I eventually routed the cables down the right side. That seems to have solved the problem. I have free throttle movement no matter which direction I turn the bars. With the engine running, the idle speed remains constant regardless of handlebar position, so I think I am good. If I hadn't just bought new stock throttle cables, I probably would have bought longer ones, and kept the routing as usual. But I haven't even ridden 100 miles with these yet. So I'll hope this continues to work out.
