I started to look into this more seriously today. Now that I'm paying a bit more attention I really prefer the systems that mount the headlights from behind and below, with a bracket coming up from the fork brace. The ones that mount from the sides of the fork just aren't quite as much to my liking. JesterMinute's rig looks right to me, although I'm not really capable of building my own bracket. The rig from the place in Australia that was linked also looks pretty good.

However, I noticed that the Thunderbird Storm has the right basic setup and it looks like it probably mounts about the same as my existing Speedie headlight. So, other than the likely high cost, that seems like a pretty workable solution. Except that they only seem to do the headlights powdercoated, and I would prefer them chromed. But if I could find aftermarket chromed lights that fit that bracket I would have the right configuration (and likely at a decent price).
