I got mine about two weeks ago and had the same feeling... little straighter sitting position and a little closer to the tank. Got a couple short test rides and then the rains came and other commitments... still waiting for a nice long ride to check the feel. I might need the back rest, just didn't want to spend an extra 220.00 for that.... ride safe...Gordon
