Not sure if I have linked the photo correctly, but hopefully here is a photo of my 1966 Triumph T10 Scooter which I restored over the past 2 years from the ground up. I purchased it for £250.00 in April 2009 without registration documents and number plate. Now it is registered and fully road legal. Quite a pretty little scooter, but was never a very successful seller! If you too have one of these baby's then let me know! That Orange Scooter posted by The Dog is an earlier version Triumph Tina Scooter made between 1962 and 1965. The 'improved' and renamed 'T10' was manufactured between 1965 and 1970. Whoever owns that orange one ..has got the steering leg on the wrong way round!! So its going to steer like a pig!

The red one is gorgeous. I owned a triumph tigress 250cc four stroke from around the same era.

Glad you like it!  The Triumph Tina and subsequent T10 were designed by the Great man himself, Edward Turner,once head of Triumph Motorcycles, he who can name the Ariel Square four and Triumph Speedtwin amongst his design successes. Unfortunately the Tina was not. It was rushed into production well before it had been proven and suffered from numerous faults which effectively put off the buying public. The T10 launched in 1965 as a successor to the Tina, had all the original design faults ironed out...but by then its reputation was tarnished. The Tina and T10 are powered by a Turner designed 100cc 2 stroke engine with a belt driven CVT final drive. Some say - one of the 1st CVT scooters that was mass produced. Othe Scooters made by the BSA Group / Triumph were the Tigress and BSA Sunbeam scooter. These were made in the late fifties up to early sixties. Available in 250cc twin and 175cc single variants but with regular chain driven final drive. Like most people I stumbled upon the T10 scooter without knowing they existed when looking for a project to restore. I now have six of these little scoots awaiting restoration. I'm hooked...but not sure why!! Nurse!!!

Great little scooter... now I want one! I was just curious about how the front steering/suspension worked so I found a picture taken from the other side. Paul, can you talk a bit about that and maybe provide a closeup picture of the front wheel?

Wow!....just goes to show ya can learn something new everyday....I too had no idea Triumph scooters existed. I knew about the Sunbeam models tho. What a nice edition to the stable you have there Paul! Just the ticket for popping round town on errands and an excellent conversation piece too! (vintage stuff always is ya know!) (Hmmmm....Where kin I get me one?  )....

I had one of these back in 1966/67 back in Penrith, UK. My first ride. It finally died when the CV froze up and I was unable to get it fixed. Great while it lasted though....
Current ride: Honda CTX700 dcn in Reading, PA (so I still like my ride to be full auto ...)
