I think if you took a poll of big bike people asking them to list touring vs. cruisers. Then ask them to rate them best to last.

You can tour on anything. I tour on my TBA. The air craft carriers are just better for it.

You can probably still do it but I don't see anybody ordering a new car in Arizona telling them to take the radio and AC out of the car.

Big baggers sell, people want them. If the creature comforts didn't sell they surely would not put them on the bikes.
