Because is has a V motor? Never thought of that.

I guess any internal combustion motor would be a knockoff of the invention of Gottlieb Daimler then

I guess I should explain since I'm kinda new here. I'm just bustin Victory's chops because this is a Triumph forum and we are talking about "other" bikes. If we were face to face you could tell my humor intent.

In my opinion (and everyone has one) Victory's 106 Freedom engine is the best air cooled V-twin in production. I researched the bike, rode a few and was impressed. The day I bought my Triumph I went to the local Victory dealer first because it had come down to a Vegas 8-ball or a Triumph America. I was trading in a "knockoff" bike (a loaded, garage kept 2002 Honda Shadow ACE} The Victory dealer told me to come back next week because the the guy who appraised trades was on vacation! My wife and I were the only 2 in the dealership that fine saturday morning sales, parts or service depts. I said "well if they blow you off when you are trying to buy a new bike imagine if you need them to help with a problem!" We then got on our bikes and rode 3 hours to Raleigh NC Because Ray Price Triumph had an America on the showroom floor. It was late by the time we got there so I rode my brand new Triumph home on Carolina back roads the next day. I am not a patient man. By the way Ray Price is an outstanding dealer, they sell 2 brands Triumph and Harley Davidson.

Victory needs a 900cc bike in their line (opinion) something basic light and nimble like a Sportster. It's good to see Harley finally investing in and expanding their Sportster line I looked at them to but the wheel base is too short and at 6'1" felt cramped.
