Triumph is not competing with Victory. Triumph goes for where they can make a profit and sell more bikes. They really don't compete with anybody. In that respect they are like Victory. Neither company is trying to be somebody else.
Personally, I think ya gotta like that aspect of a bike company.
Ok, lets see... Victory builds only cruisers and touring bikes...just like Harley. Victory only builds V-twin engines...just like Harley. Victory motorcycles are designed to compete directly with Harley and are openly marketed as such.
Harley Davidson's signature is the V-twin engine and it is an element every Japanes cruiser manufacturer has copied...along with Victory.
Triumph and to include one other well respected motorcycle manufacturer BMW have designed their own unique engines and bikes.
