Is it just me or is the hp and torque rating missing? Can't wait to pull up next to one of those at a stoplight on my Rocket. EDIT: Oh, it's in the text, not the specs. 113 torque. Yay.

Hey look its a v-twin in a thunderbird.
I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago.

Now now John, it's not big and it's not clever to gloat ... but it's difficult not to, eh?
Nice bike though

Those white letter tires and the rims give it a late 80's look. Looks sorts faunky to me.

My first thought was that it had the silhouette of an America or Thunderbird. Looking closer I wonder what is going on with that rear fender and the big oval on the side. Victory makes a solid mechanical bike, I wish they would get some new designers. I can hardly wait for the transformer Ness edition. I am so glad I ride a Triumph.

I'd take a Thunderbird Storm over that any day, in that class/category.

I'd like to see a side-by-side dyno between those 2 bikes. 113 on the torque, the Judge should be very fast.
Eh, this bike is not for me. I'm not into that 20th-century round headlight look.

At least it's not a Hurley. Looks like over 700lb wet. No thanks. Still think think the original 8-Ball looks better.

If I had to choose between just the 2 makes I would choose a Harley first, I like the looks much much better of HD.

I kind of like it. I just don't understand the attraction of stacked exhaust pipes. I even like the tail light, but I see a "No Fat Chicks" sticker on that number plate sidecover. A Big Butt 'd cover up that light!

What struck me was that the test rider seemed to be of the female persuasion (nothing wrong with that)
So all the 'real bikers' will be calling it a 'girls bike'
Just my opinion

Well, maybe they should have called it the Judge Judy then.
Hmmm... this will be the only Victory machine with mid controls. I'm wondering if those can be fitted to other bikes in their line-up to accomodate some of the shorter riders out there?

At a 14k price I really don't like that bike. I like the Tank a lot and the wheels a little.
If you are going to call something a muscle bike it should have more muscle than anything else you make.
Like Triumph calling the Storm a muscle anything. Did they forget they make Rockets?

The Rocket is a niche product and definitely doesn't appeal to everyone. Heck, I'd rather have something that LOOKED like the Thunderbird Storm with the raw power and giggle-factor of the Rocket, but in the latter case form follows function: Take a giant motor and strap on enough bits to make it look vaguely motorcycle-ish. It's a whole other kind of statement. "Muscle bike" is just marketing-speak. It's more about (life)style than performance. Harley, Victory and Triumph (with the America/Speedy and Tbird) are all going after the same demographic. The derivative design and marketing all reflect this. Marketing/mindshare/image is the only reason Harley is still "winning" in this demo with ancient (pardon me, "nostalgic") and inferior technology and design. They're being dragged into the late 20th Century kicking and screaming. Victory is fighting an uphill battle and I'm not sure their superior engineering in their V-twin will save them. I hope it does, though.

It is a fair assessment. I think the GTO would not be the iconic badass vehicle if it had a hood scoop and a 283 small block in it.
It used to be when you stomped on something that was classified a muscle car tires were smoking. That falls a lot short when the same motor in the Vision is the same motor in the Judge.
Triumph got that concept just fine. They punched out the 1600 for it at very little cost to them but made a bigger version of the cruiser motor. (muscle cruiser)
Lloyds makes the victory motors put out 125HP without a ton of money. Victory needs to make a high output (Judge) motor.
Kinda like the folks buying that Screamin Chicken motor from HD.

Technically Ron, the motor is slightly different between the Judge and the Vision.
The Judge (and most other Victory cruisers) get the 113 ft lb cams, the Vision and Cross bikes get the 109 ft lb cams. You don't miss 4 ft lbs of torque because the torque curve on the touring bikes is longer and flatter, meaning more torque through the useable range.
You are 100% correct on Lloyd.
I know a bunch of guys that have had Lloydz cams dropped into Victory motors and have experienced a marked improvement in performance for a small investment. I think part of the reason Victory doesn't offer it from the factory is that Lloyd is SO good at what he does they realize anyone that wants it done will get the cams from him and have the bike custom-tuned. Hence the photo of Loyd posing with Zack Ness and the Judge!
Lloyd Greer is a motorhead of the highest order and I'm lucky to have him a short ride away if I ever want work done.
I considered getting the Lloydz cams for my Vision but honestly, it's already plenty torquey and fast for me.

I get your point except nobody had to take the mustang and drop it at Shelby's shop to have it become a Shelby. Victory needs to do this stuff pre-packaged IMHO.
You bought your Shelby GT-350 at the Ford dealership. Ford made a mess of money on that bundling with an outside shop.

Ron, I guess I never gave this much thought before.
I definitely see you point. But I gotta wonder how much the dealers would howl, since some of them make a lot of money doing the upgrades on pipes, cams, fuel controllers etc.
