Considering a set of chrome risers to bring bars back 2" and up a little. Found some I really like on ebay but they are not Triumph specific. Does anyone know if 1/2" x 13 threading will fit through tree on an America ? It says it fits Harley,Honda,Yamaha,Victory,Suzuki and so on but no mention of Triumph.

Thanks Dog. I kinda like those stakrisers listed on that link you gave me. They look cool and retain the stock risers with matching extentions. I may consider those too. Life is sooo hard. LOL. Thanks again for the info.

I got these from fasteddysports.com and I LOVE them - no new cables were needed. http://www.fasteddysports.com/?page_id=3&product_id=760

I like the look of these.
Do they need the adapter studs?

They came with everything needed and fit up (as I recall, a couple different studs - but at least one set was the right one.) I worked the cables around a little - throttle and brake - but didn't need to replace them (depends on your bars - but the stock bars were fine).

Thanks for that. I have Speedy bars on 5" risers,
but the pullback looks good. Maybe I'll try 'em.

I liked that they kept it more, I don't know, old school looking. Some of the other ones I considered started taking it too mainstream harleyish - which wasn't what I was looking for.

I cant exactly remember the brand of risers I have but they were made for SAE 1/2" thread. I wasn,t gonna drill the tree so I bought a couple of of 1/2" studs had them turned down at work and used a 10mm die and cut new threads on the other side. Work great, had them on about 2 yrs now. Probably would have been faster and cheaper to have just ordered the adaptors that Ian mentioned but I wanted to do it myself.

These are easy to get on Ebay for about $30. They are the same ones I have on my bike except a little shorter. You can use the single piece cap or the individual caps on them.

I made my own adapters too, I can't remember if I bought 2 stainless bolts 1/2" X 13 and just turned the other end down and threaded or bought a 5/8" stainless bolt and turned the whole thing down. The latter is more likely so I had plenty to grab in the chuck.

EDIT: Now that I look at them side by side in the post I think they are very close but not the same.

EDIT 2 : Now that I look again I think they are the same as mine just mounted on the wrong sides.
