Lemme guess Bob. Might it have anything at all to do with some thoughts you've shared on Facebook about a certain "anniversary" of events which took place just about a year ago??? And I AIN'T talkin' about "gettin' stuck in Lodi again"!!!

(...on second thought, DON'T answer that here!!!)

And re the 179 route...I will definitely have that as a portion of whatever ride we go on.

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Ok - both are good suggestions, and have portions of routes we have done before but with new stuff too. I would only change the tail end and instead of getting off I-17 at Lake Montezuma (Rim Rock exit) proceeding up to the Sedona exit and riding in 179 - it is a nice view and several places to stop for pics if anyone is so inclined.

Jerome on a Saturday for lunch however, with a large group will be more difficult, as it gets crowded on the weekends - both parking and group seating for lunch. There are a couple places down in Cottonwood which are good for lunch too, that would just mean no stop in Jerome (didn't we do it last year?!)

Just thoughts.

The Cottonwood stop for lunch is probably very good idea there, Becky. Maybe at Chicago Dog or someplace in Old Town Cottonwood?

Hmmmm, ya know Bill, what with this here "salad" talk AND your ordering of just a "large" T-shirt, I'm guessin' you've lost even more weight since even last year's rally, and of which compared to the first SWTF you were a whole lot slimmer than then.

(...and so I hope you know that if keeps up, you MAY have to end up changin' your handle around here from "bigbill" to just "tallbill"!!!)

So Sky Lodge is full. Baby Quail almost full, so we're at Baby Quail.
I'll be giving the bike a ride in the truck since Cathy can't ride on the bike.

And that'll be one Large short sleeve T-shirt and one either medium women's tank, or small unisize T whichever way it goes.

Dwight and all

I will be there on Friday evening but I wont be riding unfortunately. I busted my left arm a week ago, and so no riding for a while.
I find out the prognosis and plans for healing today when I see the ortho. But I am sure he is going to say no riding for the next couple months! BOO HISS!
But I will at least come down to say hello to all!

Not at all, Ryan!

If ya bring your sleepin' bag, you'll be able to find a place to put it somewhere, either inside the house or outside I'm sure.

OR, if ya want your own accomodations, ya might check with the Baby Quail Motel(see a few pages up for details) just around the corner from our house and where bigbill and Cathy are stayin'.

(...btw, I have a sleepin' bag here, just in case)

Well, things were a little iffy for me after I got sick in Georgia last week. The original bug went away but my leg flared up (from an infection 3 years ago). Could've been aggravated by the flights or even the result of a bug bite. But it seems we caught it in time and through copious amounts of antibiotics I'll still be able to attend SWTF. The doctor gave me the go ahead (and doubled my dosage). I raised my highway pegs to help elevate my leg a little more.

So the Rocket will be launching first thing Tuesday morning.

Lonzo gave me a ton of parts when we traded bikes, so I have pads, but the hole for the guide pin is square not round...HUH? There is a dealer here in yuma that deals with Honda and the EBC FA 196's are also used on shadows, hell the HD dealer might have em too, but dont wanna spend $200 for a $30 part =0

Good news, bad news.

Bad news first: We got snow.
Good news: down here in the valley it's no more than an inch. No buildup, roads are just wet. Monida Pass (I-15 at Montana-Idaho border) has snow on it but the road looks mostly clear.

A great hot dog is next to Godliness in my book. I realize that a gas station corn dog probably doesn't fit the criteria.

The temperature in Sedona is currently 100.7 degrees Fahrenheit! I'd blow off the hot dog and go for the ice cream. Perhaps my figure of speech could be worded a bit diffently!
