Rolled in around 2:30 Monday. Tn,Ky,Indy,Illinois,Iowa, Wis,Minnesota,6 days, 2,189 miles. 106 degree going up and rained like hell through most of Ill coming back. Man it was a blast,, great to see some old friends and some new friends. Thanks Scott for hosting the rally and welcoming me in. Good setup at the lodge ! As has been said many times before BA people are just good people. Everytime I go to one of these events it has a homecoming sorta feel to it. Great time !

So, if we had a "long distance" award, would John get it? Or does his "flying miles" count? If they do, I want to get credit for the "flying" miles I did with Chris and Dave!

Looks like I missed a great ride on saturday.
+1, Mitch. On Saturday, the group turned right at the first stop sign, and I turned left. That was sooooooo hard for me to do. Rode with Yota for about the first 10 miles, but even that was too short. Highway 27 to Prairie Du Chien was fun though.

Glad everyone got home safe. We'll do it again next year. I talked to Ruth, and she said we were a great group. If anyone has any ideas of how to improve the lodge, let me know and I'll pass it on to her.

This is an EASY one. All together now fella's. AIR CONDITIONING!!! (yeah, I know, it was an unusual summer for Wis., and she tried.) I'll always remember the angel in the night with the floor fan.

Well I missed a special time but at least I got the family situation on the right track.

Awww, now that's just dirty Jack. Upstairs it was 86 degrees while we TRIED to sleep. If you'd told us, I bet there would have been 16 people on the floor of your room so it's better you kept quiet . Glad the weather broke and the A/C in the rest of the house could catch up for the last night. Thanks for the stories and the jokes Jack. It's always fun when you're there.

So you're sayin that Ruth's Caboose was like a chunk of ice? We were considering seeing how many guys we could cram into Ruth's Caboose at one time, bet that would have knocked the chill off

You guys know Ruth's caboose was wide open. I'm surprised no one decided to throw their stuff all up in that thing.

+1 on the AC, and another +1 for the floor fan angel. Wouldn't have been able to sleep at all without that blessing for sure.

Yep, I was tempted to set my gear in there Friday morning. But I figured we'd put it to better use as a party hang out after a long days ride. But by the time we got back if I recall the window unit in the caboose had froze up & wasn't cooling.

Guys, maybe I missed something here. Were these freebies or were we supposed to pay for them? If freebies I think the Saturday night dinner may have been a supplement. I think.

I was down for paying for one, the logo Eddy had made up incorporating the River Road route signs was damn cool

I think there was an issue with the supplier, it was going to cost way too much per shirt. Eddy didn't want us to have to pay out the wazoo for a tshirt, so he was trying to find an alternative option. I told him at the rally that if it didn't work out, not to stress too much over it, we could go without shirts this year. He said he was going to try, but I guess it just didn't materialize. No biggie, we'll just have to do it again next year!
