I know. I'm disappointed, too. This is important family business and I need to attend to it.

I'm getting anxious too. Hard to believe it's just over a week away. I spoke to the landlord the other day and we are all set. There are 2 grills we can use, (1charcoal, 1gas) and there is a big commercial fridge we can use for food & beer. There are also fridges in each condo. All we have to do now is get the sleeping arrangements somewhat nailed down. If anyone wants to request roommates, (or roommates they want to avoid for that matter), PM me and let me know. I think we're pretty much at capacity right now, unless someone wants to bring a sleeping bag and stay in the caboose. Or if someone wanted to bring their wife or someone else to share a bed with, we could make that work too. Keep your fingers crossed for good weather!

I'm bringing a bedroll just in case, I'll even take the caboose if it has air conditioning. If not, floor is cool with me too. Chris wants to room with me, he likes it when I get really drunk then pass out and snore all night

And then I post pictures on the forum for all to see. I think there's a few in the last Arkansas rally if I'm not mistaken. I hope I get to add a few this year.

I'm bringin a bedroll myself (for lack of a backrest on my bike) & I'm not particular about where I sleep, as long as the bed ain't brick hard. Oh yeah....I've been told I snore but it don't bother me much....

Reminds me of the first time I went to the Arkansas Rally and roomed with Rich... One of the nights I woke up at like 3am because he was standing in the outside doorway wide open with nothing but his tidy whiteys on Made me cinch up my covers, it did

Just finished my annual "Mystery Ride" yesterday. We had a small ride this year (46 bikes) but it was a good time. I was chosen to lead it so I'm glad it is over. There was a TON of planning and routing involved. The mystery part is that nobody on the ride knows the destination. The road captain plans everything..... The routes, gas stops, lunch stops, evening accomodations, dinner, entertainment. Everything. That was a handful!! So, sorry I haven't gotten back to you Scott. I'll get those routes programed into the GPS. I'm looking forward to a nice relaxing time with you all.

I'm wishing I was already on the road! The bags are packed, the route is etched into my mind, & I'm ready to thunder down some roads perhaps not so well traveled and looking forward to the adventure....anxiously!

It's lookin like a a HOT one, fella's. Today's extended forcast for next weekend is 100 degrees or better! At least it's not rain! (For any rider on a Harley, does that qualify as "shake and bake"?)

Londoners bistro in Genoa has closed down, we'll have to find a different lunch spot for the friday ride. There is the big river inn, in Genoa, or we could find something in Viroqua, or we may just play it by ear.

Compared to the forecasted temps in/around KC for next week it looks like temps (H=95, L=74 thru Friday) will be very pleasant in /around rally central next weekend. I plan to leave KC for Des Moines early in the morning on the 4th to beat the heat. National Weather Service

Ed, I was hoping that things would work out for ya, so you might make it to Westby. I was looking forward to meeting you. Sorry to hear the challenges continue....& hope things will improve for ya.

After a very down day yesterday I think we might have turned a corner today. I'm cautiously optimistic I might see a positive result. Cautiously optimistic.

If anyone is up for a ride into La Crosse on Thursday evening I would suggest we go to Rudy's Drive In for a burger and a root beer. They were supposed have a Bike Night in Sparta but is got cancelled because of the holiday and the heat but suggested that we come anyways and have our own bike night. Anyone interested let me know and can take a short ride into an authentic 50's Drive-In with Roller Skating Carhops.
