yup, the full quick release needs to apply to the saddle bags as well, so double spacers.
My current set up is longer bolts turned around so they go through from inside the fender outwards (first picture), then nut sleave things onto them acting as spacers.
would work a treat if it wasn't for the fact that the bolts are long to accomodate saddle bags as well, so there is not any play in the backrest bracket, so you have to take one side of the backrest bracket off, still quick-ish
