BUT ya see, the difference HERE is that American Whiskey has a distinctly different flavor and sometimes color(notice the absence of the superfluous "u" in those words "flavor" and "color" here, if you will!) than that of Scotch Whisky! Whereas, the words "flavor" and "color" mean the exact same things to both you guys over there AND to us Yanks!!! 

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
