OK. We've had plenty of posts about single malt Scotch etc., but never much about blends.

Blended does not mean inferior.
There is an art to blending whisky to achieve a particular balance and some are very good.
There's a reason most Scotch drinkers like Johnny Walker Black Label.

So to the point; I recently tried (and then bought, and am enjoying right now) The Famous Grouse blended Scotch whisky.

For my birthday my kids bought me a bottle of Johnny Walker Double Black, also quite good with a distinct smokey flavor that lingers on the palate. Smoooooth too.
