FYI, apparently there's a day ride on Friday from Nelson to a bar in Idaho, near Sandpoint. Don't know that I'm planning on doing that. Planning on riding up on Thursday (at the latest). I can't see riding 460 miles to Nelson and turning around the next day and riding back across the border. But I may change my mind, who knows...

This is my first day to the forum. The first week of a triumph owner. The first month of motorcycle riding. All that being said it just so happens I already had the Friday booked off. Just need to schedule a couple more and see if Celt wants to come.

Hey Bob, John and I are leaving here on Tuesday, with thoughts of staying a night with Keith and heading over to Nelson on Thursday from Trail. I know it what I have done the last two years, but it is always such a nice time and good way to start the trip.

We are still invited, right Keith?

Let's set up the video camera in the yard if it falls we may as well have something to laugh at while we recouperate.

I don't know Brent, but my memory of Keith's skydeck perched high above the Colombia River valley would make it an event worth forgetting . The time I was there I wore a bungee cord permanantly affixed to the house

It's okay Bob... I'll have some safety harnesses set up for ya all, although no seat belts. If the sky deck gives way I don't want my guests going down with it, but we'll all sure look funny hanging there from the wall. Yep Brent, a video camera IS a good idea!

Seriously though guys, the sky deck is over built by a lot, I made sure of that.

I don't think anyone's worried about the deck, it's the attendees who may be a wee bit "overbuilt"...

Wish I could attend, I've heard great stories of this by both Z and Brent.

Are there any organized rides for the Saturday or the Sunday? I will not be able to arrive into Nelson until early evening Friday. Thinking of heading back home to the coast on the Monday. I'm thinking Celt might be coming with.

There's usually a poker run but we also usually ride wherever. As you know, there are no bad rides in That part of BC.

Have you booked a room in Nelson yet? It can be tough to find one that weekend if you leave it too late. Gordie's coming? Finally... someone to take a stroll down the alley with!

Yup, Jason... I live right here in the Koots. Sounds like you know this area pretty good. Heck, maybe you can show ME a place or two but I doubt it. I'd love to go up to Lost Ledge/Meadow Creek for a ride during the Raid.

Yes! I have driven it by car. Never by bike. It is an awesome drive. Very similar to the sea to sky highway out where I live.
