The contractor started today, ripping out the vanity and stuff. When I went home at lunch they were just starting on the old tub and surround. By the end of today the plan is to have the subflooring fixed. Tomorrow the shower goes in and the plumber does his thing (move drain, move toilet, add second showerhead. They want to do Tile on Thursday-Friday.
I picked up the shower and toilet from Lowes yesterday, as well as the showerhead/control/valve kits. Ordered my vanity, sink and faucet online today. The vanity won't ship until the 20th of January so this just turned into a month-long project. My biggest conundrum is tile. I have peculiar, if not expensive tastes. So I'll probably be ordering tile for above the shower from a local shop and buying something that's in-stock from Lowes this week so they can get the floor done and install the toilet. Basically it will be a dark copy stone looking floor with white tile above the shower, but I have an idea about the tile sizes that I need to confirm with my contractor. Lastly, still need to pick up a new light fixture and the new medicine cabinet so they can recess it for me.
