Tesla died in 43, there would have been a Tesla Project rather than a Manhattan Project. They also say he perfected a particle beam. Actually he was thinking along the lines of a Microwave/Laser combination. He was a visionary but never built the car.

Fabulous contributions in the area of AC vs. DC that really pissed off Edison and remote radio transmission along with remote control systems.
