This has been a good read. I am just thinking about a few science facts. Very basic ones.

(The core of earth is molten rock)- its venting but venting less over time because its cooling. Hmmm, that is a change that can cause some issues.

(As a star ages it grows in size)- Humm, that would surely heat some stuff up! I guess we could all reach up and push it back when it gets really close.

So, give or take a few million years in a few billion years we are a tiny little burned speck from our senior citizen sun. Or, a frozen nugget from our cold core. Geothermal has as much to do with warming as the sun by the way. It also has a great deal to do with our axis and rotation. Eventually we will get to wobbling in a big way. That will really suck for climate change.

So, I will say we know we are doomed to end as a planet. They all die when the suns die. We are saving it for what exactly again?

Nobody measured ozone and carbon emissions when the plains Indians burned off all the trees and grasses for the buffalo. Nobody measured the carbon imprint from every house in Europe for a thousand years heating with fire and cutting down everything with wood in it. Nobody measured the industrial revolution where we spewed everything we didn't want from smoke stacks for 75 years.

All the sudden we need to permanently mar our landscape with zinc mining, kill our water with battery production in China and empty our treasury with subsidies that don't work. As was mentioned earlier, if it works we will buy it quick. If it works private industry will race to build it.

Yeah, I think we foul the air and water. Overpopulation will kill us off a lot faster than carbon. We will run out of food long before the planet runs out of air.

I try to aggravate one person a day. Today may be your day.
