Has anyone used the modified pipes that are on ebay? What was your experience, sound etc? I know that buying a set off of newspeedmaster would be ideal, but am trying to keep costs down. Too many hobbies too little fundage.

First I've heard of someone offering modified pipes. If the seller isn't hooked with us, I'd be cautious. (and I'm thinking if he was, we'd know about it)

you be the gini pig and let us all know, unless you know for sure they have some exhaust experience, i'd be very cautious about them. Exhaust can be a tricky thing to control right, even though it's just gas going thru a pipe.check out their feedback on ebay and their score.

If it can't be bought, I'll make it. If it can be bought i'll make it anyway!

If these are the pipes, then it looks like a great deal at the current $52.00 bid. However, the auction has a few more days to run, and the last minute bids can be astronomical and way inflated past what you could otherwise even buy them direct from Triumph. Sometimes, these auctions can get quite out of hand... Trust me, I know!

Seems like it would still be cheaper to buy a holesaw and spend an hour or so...

These pipes usually go for $150-$180. Plus your stock pipes exchanged or a $65 core charge. I'm still playing around with the drilling & removing baffles

Hey Dill,
I've seen some on ebay from someone else. They have a bunch of them stacked on a pipe rack, looked like about 30 pair. Save some money and punch your own pipes. There is plenty of info here to guide you through it. I have a 3/4" hole through all plates and completely removed the rear two sets of baffles - 130 main jets and 3.5 turns out. I am slightly rich in the mid to upper throttle range so I will get some 128s to put in one day.

I'd like to know exactly how they modified them. Just drill/punch out baffles?
