Outerbanks, Sure the Triumph has MORE motor the your Old Honda and some diffrent aspects to it VS. a Triumph! BUT Honda makes a GREAT bike..you summed it up in one word RELIABILITY !!!!!!!! Ask around or do a little reading around we some of the older Triumphs have had there faults ie CDI's going bad coils failing..worming of chrome on the triple trees. BUT dont get me wrong LOVE my 08 SpeedMASTER BUT times miss a good running HONDA Shadow.
