So, I bought some rental property a couple years ago and there were, literally, tons of ceramic tile in the garage. I retiled several floors, etc., but I still had a bunch of it. Now, I live in a log cabin. The lady who built it loved claw foot tubs. I hate the damn things. They are useless. To make matters worse, in the master bath they ran the plumbing up through the floor in middle of the room.
So...I took out the claw foot tub and I built an enormous walk in shower. It's 6 ft by 3 ft. For showers, that's big. Rain shower. Rough tiles that give the feeling of a rock wall. There's even a window in the shower (I love windows in showers). Now, when I bought the house I had the two fireplaces converted to gas (I've paid my debt to society with wood fires). One is in the bedroom. It has a remote. So...in the morning my alarm goes off, I hit the fire remote, I walk into my enormous rainfall shower, then I walk out and towel off in front of a big 'ol fire.
Now, I'm a simple guy. But for me, this is the height of decadence.
