I would think it all boils down to where you place your feet the majority of the time while you're riding, John. And yeah, like ya said, being able to stand up and stretch your legs and especially being able to use your legs in that "rough terrain" you mentioned for shock absorbing instead on having every bump hit ya in the tailbone and go right up your back, IS the great thing about a more standard riding position, alright.

I found that I was more and more using the mid-pegs I built because of this very issue, and less and less putting my feet up front, unless of course to work the controls that were up there. And so, it just made sense for me to move the controls back to where I found my feet placed most of the time.

Personally, I would say you might want to seriously consider taking one of those fellas up on their offer they've made in that R3 forum. I would think the R3 Roadster setup would be your best option here.
