(...heck, it snowin' here right now, and so my "Standard" ain't goin' anywhere for a while anyway, ol' buddy!)

Snow in Arizona, whatever next.

Yep Gary, I know. Most people think of the desert areas of Phoenix and Tucson when the name of Arizona comes up. However, Prescott is situated 5300ft(1615m) in elevation, and so we usually get a few dustings of the stuff every winter.

Prescott also bills itself as Arizona's "Christmas City", and they do up the town square very nicely with decorations.

In fact, if you've ever watched the movie "It's a Wonderful Life" with Jimmy Stewart, the first time my wife and I happened through this town, 10 years ago now, was in December, and my first thought was that Prescott reminded me of that little imaginary town of Bedford Falls in that film.

(...yep, it's quite a change from where I lived and worked most of my life...the metropolis of Los Angeles)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
