Btw guys, I've just thought of another "caveat" which must be taken into account here.
If you look at the pix again, you'll notice that I have Harley mufflers on my bike with extensions made to go between the headers and those mufflers. In effect, this allowed the room for this new bracket to clear the exhaust system.
And so, bottom line, I don't think using mufflers such as the stock units or most of the aftermarket brands (which increase their radius and spread out just aft of where they're connected to the headers) would work because of the lack of room available where these brackets and controls are now located.
