dispite this "new" governmental de-regulation... butchering equine for human consumption has been in practice in the good ol USA in fits & starts since the 1800's. Mostly as a response to economic pressures and survival. I can remember my great grand dad & gramps stories of butchering the family's horses during hard times. I wonder if this new "legalization" is really a vanguard of things to come as our economy continues to decline?????
