Very nice! A very unique machine. The whitewalls are just part of this great package.

I was more impressed when I saw his bike with my own eyes this past Spring. She's a true beauty.

Cherry usually develops better compression. Would you like it with or without legs to "run".

Larry, I was gonna mention this earlier, then I thought no... not a good idea, but now I think you should know. Those pictures are a bit 'grainy,' don't you think?

I think you're "barking" up the wrong tree, I just double check'em and none of the pictures were taken in a wheat field..............

Well Larry, you 'crack' me up with your 'warped' sense of humour. I could never be 'board', I mean bored with the pictures you post, even if they're not somewhere out in a wheat field (and I know I'm going somewhere out on a limb with this one!).

Thanks, but just to make a slight correction... The forks are covered with Bubinga Veneer, as is all the other wood acents and panniers with cherry trim. Being a woodworker, I couldn't help myself and it's been more fun the "chrome".

Yes, other than the console, if it looks like "wood" it IS. Mostly Bubinga, with Cherry trim on the forks and paniers. Oh! and "Woody" the RAT on the handle bars isn't real (anymore) .

Not sure what the process is. You'll have to ask Dennis Oakes (dertbikdennis). It is, I believe a paint process used on automotive dash's. It may not be wood, but at least it won't rot and will enhance my "warp" speed potential.

Isn't that a sort of heat-shrink film on there?

Huh, I had to look that one up and came up with appliqué which sort of fits. As for 'Franglecized English'... it that a term they use in billiards?

I believe it to be a "paint" process of some sort. It is not an appliquay, of that I'm pretty sure. Per Dennis "It was something that my brother did for me. He does the interiors on planes and uses this on cabnetry a lot." Beyond that, I don't know other than I really like the way it matches the rest of the wood and the way it looks on Woody.

I learned that it is the same process they use on high-end fiberglass gun stocks to give them a true wood look. No rot, no spliting, light weight, etc.

First time I saw this bike in Nelson at the Kootenay Raid a couple years ago I spent quite some time looking it over. The details and effort put into this bike to make it that unique needs to be commended.
Any day on my bike is the best day ever! That would be my custom painted 2007 Speedmaster or my 2002 Daytona 955i also known as my salt racing bike!
