Well you will get a slightly more accurate speedometer with a taller tire on our bikes. I'm running a 110/90 - 18 Metzeler 880 on my Speedmaster and the speedometer/odometer reads only about 5% high instead of around 10% high with the stock size.

The tech at the Triumph dealer after test riding the bike after a valve adjustment said he actually liked the taller tire. He said he felt it didn't want to flop over when taking slow speed tight parking lot type turns. I liked the shorter tire myself, because going up the mountain through the twisties, the front end felt a bit too light. Couldn't find a 33 Laser at the time I needed a new one, so that's why I went with the taller 880. I think my next front tire will be the new Metzeler Lasertec in the Speedmaster stock size.
