Yeah, there are a few extra connectors in the harness depending on the type of fuel/emissions system is on your particular bike. Since yours is 09 it is amongst the carb to fuel injection changeover years so yours has a couple more than most.
The connector in question appears to be of the fuel/emissions variety so don't sweat it, if it runs fine it must not need it.
