Great feedback! I know a little about the types of mics but haven't been around the current technology to learn very much about whats good and whats trash. The last garage band I played with was back around 87 and our sound gear was old then but worked well enough. I'd never heard of phantom power till last year but I know what it is now.
What I'm doing is patching directly into my PC's line in for amplified devices and the mic in for mics. I do have a small mixer board that I may setup and use, but I'm thinkin I should research sound cards/systems to use with the PC. You guys talking about your multichannel mixers and I'm just barely above a portable cassette recorder!
But I'm having fun. I've practically stopped watchin TV. I'm mostly doin my music. Hope to write some more.
I'll probly do some maint. to my bike this weekend and take a ride. Temps in the 60s and clear. I didn't get to over the holiday, but definetly this weekend!
I got a cheap Palmer bass. It plays great. Ya'll know anything about Palmer?
