Hey Scott! I did check out dropbox and soundcloud to a certain degree. Dropbox requires the download and installation of some sort of software. Soundcloud seems to be a site more for musicians to meet musicians. So now I'm off to checking out sites such as myonlineband.com to see how that might serve us. Safe to say I'm busily trying to find a way to make this project happen WITHOUT having to set up paid memberships. Still working on it... started a thread over at chordie.com on the topic, just to see.
Keith, DropBox installs some very unobtrusive stuff, like a shared folder you can put stuff in and out and it gets on the cloud without any hassle. The thing is that with DropBox, you can assign a special folder and give access to ba.com members only and they can send the music files in, you just fire up your computer to find them in that shared folder... easy!
The best thing is that you get a few gigs of space for free. People can access the same folder via PCs, Macs, Linux boxes, iPads and iPhones, etc....
You have to try it to see that it really works. I used to get special services to send me files that were too big when I was designing a printed magazine and a website, now with DropBox, it is a breeze.
