Thanks, Jeff for chiming in and providing your ideas and links. First and foremost, you are right... the click track is the most important aspect of this project. I was playing around in the studio today seeing what I could come up with and I think for starters a simple 3 or 4 chord pattern (or maybe even just 1 chord... I always did like the memorizing effect of one chord playing). A melody could be introduced from the get go so harmonized instrumentation and vocals could be introduced as the piece evolves. One of us (and again I don't mind volunteering) could come up with the basic structure and the rest could embellish to their heart's content.
Slowly we are building ideas here and I'm still working out logistics in my mind. I love the 'Playing for change' collaborations found on Youtube and although I don't expect to match those works for excellence, I'd sure like to try!
