UPDATE: So the dude that bought my bike called me about 40 minutes ago and wanted to tell me the bike got back to Springfield, MO without incident or any scratches. He said he rode the bike for two days and told me he was amazed at how perfect the bike ran and was surprised at how fast she takes off. He said he is NOT going entertain the idea of selling it to 'The Shaved Beaver' and wants to keep it. Personally, I don't blame him . He mentioned he knew I was concerned for her safety and her future and wanted to call. Cool dude.

Thats a relief! Ya never know what will happen to your work after it goes into someone else's hands. Once, years ago, I traded my much ridden and loved 73 Triumph chopper for a TR3. When I saw it a year later, I totally didn't recognize it. The customized paint job on the Savior/Amen frame and tank had been rattle canned gloss black, the chrome bits had been taken off or broken, the wiring had been fried and duct taped back together, and more. It went from a reliable, show bike that got lots of comments to one step from a junk yard. I was dismayed and wish I had kept it. A few months later I asked around to see if I could maybe get it back (I really felt bad for the ole girl) but it had dissapeared. I'm fairly sure it doesn't exist anymore.

The guy that bought it was buying it for a bar called the Shaved Beaver in Everton, MO where it would become a showpiece placed over or on the stage.

WTF!?! What a waste! Get some old piece of vintage iron for decoration!

Perhaps the bar can't tolerate bits and pieces regularly falling off some "vintage iron". So they went with a quality bike instead.

So not the point.

Oh well, I guess we don't share the same sense of humour. Sorry if YOU disapprove.

I think I see the point. Why waste perfectly good Speedie for bar decorations when it should be ridden??? And parts falling off the bike. It must be a vintage Harely. See Mr. Terminator...I mean Mr. Administrator, he was making a JOKE not a point. LOL

Now the "Shaved Beaver"...no I just can't comment, Missannies is lurking around here somewhere.

I'm getting vertigo!

And me

This is getting kind of cool like a 3D thread.

I might have to add it to my old M.C. Escher collection.
