Agreed. I wouldn't mind having one. When I worked in a GM dealership back in the 70s, it was the best diagnostic tool for ignition systems with condenser/points. Even the electronic systems were a breeze before they went to multiple coils. The scope could tell me if there was a bad condenser, arcing points, weak coil, bad wire, plug, fouled plug, etc etc. What it couldn't do was track an electronic component failing due to say, overheating such as an ignition module or an open circuit preventing a signal from the pickup coil. Great for dynamic compression testing. Being able to knock out a cylinder and see the drop in power then compare it to the other cylinders made life easier.

A scope would be a great diagnostic tool for motorcycles.
