Thanks for the link to British Customs' site. Figuring up the math for what they had to do a similar mod = $43.09 for the turn signals (w/pivot mounts), $17.95 for a set on the 10mm spacers, + estimate of $9.00 parcel post shipping = $70.85. My savings = $1.85 in comparison. (not including the shared with my riding buddies while machining the posts)
The real difference I can see is that the BC equipment as shown aren't: A) a solid post arrangement from the turn signals to the fender mounting bracket (vibration + piece meal installation = bad stuff) & B) The turn signals BC offers have pivoting/adjustable posts (another spot that could be prone to loosening up from vibration). But go figure...I'm sure one might find similar tail lights w/o the pivot/adjustable posts.
Either way it breaks cost-wise about the same. The real reward is in DYI don't cha know
