I have RedWings w/the steel toe. Not because of any philosophy or wisdom, it's what they had in my size when I was buying boots. I can say I'm very happy I had them on when I was hit. Just wish I could have seen the sparks flyin' as the steel was being ground down! For what it's worth, I'm still wearing them.
