A couple of quotes from Jim on Facebook

We just got the official word on my dad; they now consider him as "Stable"!!!! This is HUGE news in the recovery process as they have been extremely reluctant to say it before!! Keep those prayers going!!

Surgery still on for the morning though, much better for it to be successful!!
Let's keep showing support for one of our own people!!!!!

Rhonda and I went to the accident scene to try and find his car keys. We didn't find them, but believe it or not, Rhonda FOUND his Gremlin Bell !!

I don't know who gave it to my Dad, but we wanted to make sure you knew that we had it - intact! The bell has the Canadian Maple leaf on it so thank you Canada friends!!

We're here in ICU right now. His aorta/stint surgery has been delayed and we assume it's due to other emergencies. So far, the word of the day is Stable which is a lot better than "he won't make it thru the night". We're so blessed with the outpouring of Love and support from the Motorcycling Community! You guys ROCK!!

It's a fact Jim,

When I was on "sabbatical" a few years ago, the support via all my friends on ba.com meant a lot. Say Hi to Larry for all of us

Jim,

Lynn and I are praying for your Dad's recovery. We just got the news from a message Gordan left me Saturday. I cannot begin to say how much we love your old man. Larry is a stalwart in my book: A man of true grit. Thank God he has pulled through to this point and continues to be graded as Stable! I sure do hope that Cathy is okay too. Such an angel.

Prayers, hugs and kisses being sent y'alls way. Get well soon Larry!!!!

Jim & Lynn

Any word on the surgery this morning or if it happened?

I second what Mike said, Jim. If there is anything his brothers and sisters can do here, let us know. I've spent time with Larry at 3 different GA. Rallies and he and Mrs. Sheppard are two of the nicest people I have ever met. Of course on the rides I never see Larry until we take a break or have a meal, because he is always at the front of the pack. I will continue to pray that he will be whole again!

Jim -

One of my riding and life role models. I am sorry that I am so late to post having just read the news. I have a voice mail from my very good friend down in Merritt Beach that I know now is not concerning a happier topic. Rest assured that I am praying my a$$ off for Larry.

And thanks to Gordon for passing on the news, as hard as it was for him to convey it.

Surgery was postponed this morning due to his heart acting up. He's on deck to go in the morning for the aorta/stint surgery. He's got a multitude of injuries, but this is the most important. Final visitation for the night is at 830pm EST so I'll pass on the prayers to him!

I sure a lot of us feel like we are not doing enough. Hard to do much from so far away other than offer support. Nice that there are members close enough to lend support in person if wanted or needed.

From Larry's Daughter-In-law, Rhonda:

"Miracle report....dr m has just reported to us he is thru surgery and he did GREAT!!!!!!!! She didn't have to block his vein to the arm, the blood was all contained. She said it was easy repair. Noe, he's not out of the woods but as dr m said this was the one thing tag would have stopped it all. We are our way to recovery people. GO GOD!"

From Rhonda, just now:

Miracle report part 3.....the nurse told us he has been taken off the heart medication and is functioning on his own (still on vent) but the heart is working again. And he is having good kidney functions which was a big concern because of the contrast ct scan. And the nurse in her opinion says if he continues to improve like this, he could be out of icu and in a room within a week. Praise the LOrd. Christ had to go to the grave so we could experience the ressurection. It's Easter people! Thank you all so much. Please don't stop praying. He's got lots of healing but at least he's not in a pinebox.

So whatever you are doing my BA brothers and sisters, keep it up!! Whether it is prayers, positive thoughts or whatever.... Send Larry and his family your love... G
