As you may know, I manufacture waterproof seat covers for bikes. Ride in the rain to test all the time. I have the Triumph Explorer kit (Sympetex) and I'm always 100% dry.
I use Frogg Toggs to carry in the bags when it looks "iffy" and I'm not in the Sympetex.
Both work a treat, as they say.
