I used to run the jumbo Saddlemen Drifter slant bags with home-made brackets till I laid the bike on it's side and crushed one. Insurance forked out for a set of studded K-Drive bags. These come with their own custom brackets and a plastic clip system on the back of each bag. As conveniant & secure as easy brackets, as large as the saddlemen, and you don't have to fit it yourself. Takes about 30 seconds to unlock the bags & remove them from the bike (assuming you have the key). Only down-side, they're not the cheapest bags on the market - but you get what you pay for I guess.

The tourmasters I am looking at are throw over bags. I have read that some people use brackets and some do not. Is there anyone here with a throw over setup? If need be I may just make some brackets. I guess I'll know for sure when the bags arrive.

If you do decide to go with some supports, I have heard that the Honda Magna supports fit.
