It would be going to a cool side. Pipe it and make it breathe a little better and you have 90HP with 115lbs. of torque.
The bars are a little too high for me.

Nice bike, but manually adjustable handle bars? Hate the head light.

My friend just bought one. I took it out for about an hour while he rode my Speedmaster. It is a truly great bike!

Best looking Victory to date.
I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago.

The dealer where I bought my America also sells Victory. Last time I was there I saw the High Ball for the first time. Had to wipe the drool from my chin. Not sure how much I like the 2 exhausts on one side though. Other than that....

I like their old school attempt but I don't like the apes either. The headlight needs to be more globular. A BA or Speedy lamp painted flat black would be a better shape. I'd add a thin red pinstripe around the white tank panel just the thickness of the line itself away from the white panel... so it would be a thin black line then a red line around the tank panel... which of course would make me want to have the striping go Von Dutch on the fenders and center of the tank too...

If you can't get your hands on one but want to get a feel for it, grab a Vegas and go for a test ride. Really the same bike without the bars.
They all have plenty of torque and are fun to ride.

Ron, just an FYI, the HB front tire is much fatter than the Vegas hoop and the HB rear rubber is narrower. Rake is slightly less on the HB. I have not ridden a HB so I can't compare. Same strong motor though!
That being said, my Vegas was a great ride, very fast handling. The Kingpin was more road-worthy IMHO.
But neither can compare to the handling of the Vision. You'll be leaned over pretty far before you touch the floorboards!

Maybe its the inverted forks on the Kingpin. When I rode a High-ball it felt a little lighter than my bike so figured it felt like a Vegas.
It was big fun to ride, didn't like the handlebars, too high.

A couple weeks back the Victory demo truck was in town, and so I took a spin on a Cross Country. Nice bike. If I was lookin' for a tourer, this bike would definitely be a serious contender for my dollars.

If Triumph came out with a "fins" accessory for the Thunderbird would you consider it?

Well Mac, in such a scenario, that COULD be the deciding factor!!!
Speakin' o' which, did you happen to catch these pictures that Mike[FCTush] took at this year's SWTF and of me holding up one of those finned engine coverings I took off of Thomwill's Yamaha Royal Star tourer and placing it next to Eddy's T-Bird's engine?

That's Eddy. But what I think he's actually doin' there is pledging allegiance to the United Front for Cooling Fins of America!

Did Eddy ever get those two extra legs amputated? Or did he mount up an extra set of pegs?

I don't know about the pegs, John. However, I DO recall him sayin' to me that it's a darn good thing he's in the motorcycle equipment and apparel business, 'cause if he wasn't, the Draggin Jeans company wouldn't have made those special order for him!!!

Well Thom, with what?, over some 2 thousand miles on the bike in what, a little under a week or so of ridin' two up, I'd say we could let ya slide a little about that Royal Star of yours bein' a mite dirty that day.

I went for the demo ride earlier this month. Road three bikes a Hammer,I liked the power not the rear tire. KingPin nice ride. Then I rode the CrossRoads, very nice smooth ride good power. went back and made a deal on a black CrossRoads.Picked it up this past Saturday late in the afternoon. Did not get to ride it much this weekend, but I think I am going to really enjoy this bike. This was not the first time I had taken a demo on the Victorys. I have really enjoyed my Speedmaster great bike. I was really impressed at the demo rides of the CrossRoads, apparently to impressed it ate at me tell I went back and bought one.

I'll have to give it another try as I never could get over the annoying grinding from the tranny on the Victory I rode last year at Sturgis.

Thanks Kevin I'll check out that forum. I still do not know what to think of the big lonnng headlight, but it is growing on me. The headlight is different from everybody elses. I actually thought of putting two round headlights like the Storm or RocketIII. We'll see how it goes. I think I will install some front marker lights like I did on my Speedmaster.
