Unless they're riding bicycles INSTEAD of cars, commuting or otherwise, I don't think there's any 'tree huggin' going on. Most of the road riders I know throw their bikes into the back of some environmental disasterpiece, take it to the Parkway, piss off everybody for an hour, then put it back in the Hummer.
You are correct but these same delusional suckers who are paying $400 for a pair of bike shoes think they are some out door, canoe buying,tent buying Starbuck drinking with a Red White And Blue circle on their Hummer new age hippie.
