Well, now that I've dropped my bike, and FINALLY seem to be on the mend...(was even able to curl up onto a Thruxton today! Way better physical therapy!) I'm looking to change some things on my bike. First, I think I am going to take the flame pinstripes off of her, then I am looking at adding some vinyl wrap designs in dark silver gray and black of American flag blending into a Union Jack. I am also considering a change of color but will have to find a place where my husband can paint her before investing in the paint gun.

Now besides looking for a new windscreen, I am also looking for hard bags, and have a friend talking to me about making some powder coated dressing bars to wrap around the bags which would also serve to help protect the bike if she ever tipped again. No, I am not planning to, but since I didn't plan this one, I figure it is good insurance to protect her vital parts as much as possible. I wear good protective gear (except for the day I didn't wear my over pants and dropped her) I may as well make sure she has good protection too.

I'm trying to make it look retro and cool, and NOT look too much like the HD crowd. I know she is covered in chrome, but I'm thinking that a nice dark silver, or black dressing bar is not expected and might look cool. I figure the hard bags will be a good place to use the vinyl wrap design of American flag blending into a Union Jack.

Anyone have pictures of cool Americas and Speedmasters to help me plan and get ideas?

Here's a pic to show you a thought of what I'm working on for her. A picture to put on as a vinyl sticker.

Thats an intresting concept- vinyl wrap the tins or saddlebags. Why not, they do it for cars, trucks and vans. I do like the American flag and Union Jack idea, and we expect to see pictures. I can only assume that vinyl wraps are durable. If RUF can vinyl wrap a tuner Porsche and charge big $$, its good enough for a Triumph.

Didn't buy into the hype, you can keep the change.
