I have never fired a shot I didn't aim and intend on firing. Anyone who does should sell their guns and not handle them baring a mechanical failure of the firearm. As stated above every gun should be treated as it's loaded and never pointed anywhere you don't intend to shoot especially at any living thing you don't intend to kill. I was taught as a young child how to handle guns.
