Stock '07 Speedmater bars. Are they solid or? I have a set of hand warmers that are supposed to fit inside the bar but after removing the end cap I dont see how that will work. Any advice will help.

They're not solid but there is a threaded piece just inside each end that the endcap screws into. Sounds like you need to drill/knock that out and get some sort of expanding style end cap like they use for bar-end mirrors.

So far I've drilled 2" into the left bar. Still solid. and I've past what was drilled and tapped for the end cap.

Can you re-tap some threads in the bar weights and borrow a slap hammer? You will need to have the bar in a vice to go this route. I'm sure you realize that you would need to protect the chrome from the vice jaws, cardboard, brass shim, lead is even better if you use this method. BTW, taking the H.bar to 325F in your oven will cause the I.D. to grow 6 or 7 Thou. in diameter, sometimes that is enough.

not sure how far the solid piece goes in...I drilled the bar about 6" from the end for wires inside the bars and it is hollow there

I didn't knock out that plug but I did run wires inside my BA bars.
