Back in my EMS days a guy on a Harley chopper pulled out of a flea market onto a five lane. As he hit the center lane he apparently decided he forgot something and turned back, right into the path of a low rider pickup. We were on the scene almost immediately as it was near a station. He was pinned/crushed under the pickup. As we didn't have time to wait for the extrication truck I picked out a dozen guys and we lifted the pickup off the guy. With their help my partner and I extricated, immobilized on a backboard, intubated, started IVs (as we started rolling) and left the scene in 3 minutes and forty seconds. He was pretty busted up but the only thing that couldn't be fixed was the top of his skull (no helmet). The trauma team called it a couple minutes after we got to the hospital.
