We've got some members here that can take some pretty incredible pictures. Some of it is talent, some of it is the subject, and some of its the camera.

I've had plenty of cheap 35mm cameras and a couple of cheap digitals. Film and developing can be too expensive and time consuming for everyday use. With having kids, it seems the cheap digitals are just too slow to catch the action, or the depth and clarity is not there.

What do I need to know to get a decent camera without having to rob a bank?
